Made in the Image aims to make a space for queer people to share their true stories—through portraiture and narrative texts taken from recorded interviews and written responses to questions focused on how folx describe themselves, feel themselves existing in the world, and what resources they identify as both beneficial to their journey as well as those they recognize as absent. As an ongoing record, Made in the Image will be available for exhibition, printed in book form (eventually), and routinely updated online.
In tandem with Made in the Image, Composing a Queer Life is a narrative project focused on queer folx of faith, emphasizing the flourishing of LGBTQIA+ people in the Dallas-Fort Worth region specifically through life story interviews and faith-based resources for queer North Central Texans.
